Some while back I was having similar problems - thought my graphics card was on its way out (it was getting hotter than it should, but not dangerously so). Eventually, my CMOS battery died, so I replaced it (and gave the inside of the computer a bit of a hoovering). No problems since. I think it must have been borderline for getting on for a year without any obvious symptoms. I think Kenshi uses more resources than most of my other games - the only other games that exhibited similar behaviour were The Witcher and (somewhat surprisingly) Spells of Gold.

I have tried almost everything. From cleaning my PC out and swapping GPU's. I have 2 GTX 970s so thought i should just try running one and that also didn't work. just hope they can fix this. love this game and would love to play more that 10 min without crashing. Should try and format my PC maybe?Q T Arbuthnot wrote: ↑Thu Dec 20, 2018 3:37 pmSome while back I was having similar problems - thought my graphics card was on its way out (it was getting hotter than it should, but not dangerously so). do not think formatting your PC will help.
Do you believe the sexes should be equal?
Oh heavens no.

I have found a fix for my game crashing every 10 min.
I changed these settings about 3 days ago and haven't had a crash since. In steam, go to kenshi's properties and change the following.
"I'm not sure which of the following settings were actually the one's that made my game crash but I'm just going to list everything"
Under the General Tab.
Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game - Unchecked.
Use Desktop Game Theatre SteamVR is active - Unchecked.
Steam Input Per-Game Setting - Change to Forced Off.
Under The Updates Tab.
Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Kenshi - Unchecked.
Hope this works for you guys!
Please post if it worked.

As mentioned before - but not yet approved - this did not fix it for me and I was trying a clean install with old save.ArgalTal wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 7:36 pmI have found a fix for my game crashing every 10 min.

Regretfully that did not work either.
I suspect that this is the result of some recent minor update, which introduced the major crashing problem.
I look forward to having it fixed, as I love this game...

After fiddeling around a bit with steams verifying game files and a few mods i had downloaded via steam, i have found that the crash cause may actually be any mod you can find on steam rn.
I dont quiet know which one, but the ones i currently have active are
General Modifications (loaded last)
In Game Biome map
New Weapon Dissemination
Godsend Research and EXP x5
Crossbows are now Fun
Smiths of Old
Recruitable Prisoners
Training Swords
18+ Female Body
Enhanced Shop Economy
I noticed that the "no more visible headgear"-mod somehow makes up one missing file when verifying local data via steam, so that may be another cause, though i was running it just fine for the three days.
I suggest you deactivate any other mods you have currently running and try to activate them one after another, each time importing your save and Strg Shift F11 after each load.
This may take a while, but it will help everyone here narrow down the possibilities. Please post any new findings you may have.
