I've have 108 hours in this game and have been loving it, but for some reason, about a month ago a strange bug has been happening. It has affected both my weapon smith and armour smith. Mainly the armour smith. My armour smith is at skill level 84 and should be making specialist quality materials consistently with chance critical success to masterwork, and this happened for a while. But for some reason the quality level would be reduced to High or lower, even without the skill level changing. A game restart use to fix this, but it no longer does and now my armour smith is lvl 84 and stuck making shoddy quality materials as you can see from the attached screenshots. They show skill lvl of 84, but quality production of shoddy and the inventory is what she was consistently making before this bug. I haven't played for weeks because this is screwing with what I was trying to do. This bug seems to only be effecting the smith skills. Unfortunately the mouse pointer doesn't show in the screenshots, but it was the last few I was hovering over.

just checking
the smiths don't have any injuries, especially head ones?
and they're in 100% light the whole night?

That is correct. None are injured, malnourished, or any negative factors and this issue occurs during day and night and I have multiple light sources in my buildings.

Save game would be very useful in tracking down the issue. :)

In my experience, this is always down to a lighting problem: your smith has found somewhere to stand that is not fully lit at night.

Do You have instructions on how I can provide that?

I'll also attempt to add more lights, but this happens during the day as well. I'll let you know if more lights help next time I play.

Simply find the save in your save folder located in your install directory, and zip the respective folder up (whole folder for the save, not just the quick.save file). Then you can either upload it directly to the forums in a post if it's small enough, or if it tells you it's to large you can upload to a service like dropbox or google drive and post the link here. :)

I'll do that.

I added more lights (Like 10 over my smith areas) and it seemed to fix the issue for now, although I did it immediately as I got in game, so the skill hadn't been reduced. I'll see if it happens again, since it happens on and off during different points of the day for different amounts of time. I'll get that file and upload it when I have chance. Thanks to everyone for all the help.
