Kenshi won't launch. Please help!

I bought Kenshi and I've had this problem, I haven't been able to play the game once yet. When I press "Play" on Steam, the usual "Preparing to launch Kenshi" menu pops up. The "Play" button turns into a "Stop" button, indicating that the game started to launch. Seconds later, the "Stop" button reverts back to the "Play" button and nothing else happens.

When I look in Task Manager while starting the game, Kenshi.exe only appears for a few seconds before "Suspended" pops up next to it and it disappears. Nothing else happens.

I've tried reinstalling the game several times. Many of those times I delete the Kenshi directory folder in the Steam "common" folder before reinstalling the game. I've tried verifying the integrity of the game files. I've reinstalled all five programs in the "dependencies" folder including the "dxsetup" in the "dx9" folder. I've tried launching Kenshi.exe from the game directory. I've tried running Kenshi.exe and Steam as administrators. I've tried turning off my firewall temporarily. I've tried restarting my computer. None of these seem to work. Nothing happens when I press "Play" on Steam.

What config/console file in the Kenshi directory could I upload so people could try and diagnose the issue? (ex. settings.cfg) Many log files haven't been created yet since I have not been able to start the game.

I really do not want to refund Kenshi. Please help.

or Kenshi_info.log
it should create one or the other when you try and launch the game.
these will be found in the kenshi main directory.
