Kenshi will not launch.

I bought Kenshi last night and have yet to get the game running. Every time I start the game from steam or from its folder, no window comes up and the task manager doesn't show Kenshi starting as a program.

Things I have tried
Everything relating to my issue on this board (http://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=518)

-Restarting computer
-Validating Files
-Setting to my resolution
-Updating Drivers
-Redownloading
-Deleting settings.cfg then redownloading
-Compatibility mode, I tried windows 8, 7, and Vista, along with pairing steam in compatibility mode with Kenshi.
-Running from file location instead of steam

This has been really tricky :/ I cannot seem to figure out why the game won't start. If anyone has any clue how to fix this please let me know.

Would like to add that I have attempted to download the programs in the dependencies folder when I realized this issue is caused by problems with Microsoft C++ 2010-2012. However, there is another problem which makes a fresh install the only way to uninstall Microsoft c++ for computers that were originally windows 8 (such as mine://). Not a total issue tho as I was looking to start fresh soon.


TLDR: resetting my PC to stock bc I want to try Kenshi
