Just bought the game and it won't start

I've downloaded the game and I press play in steam and nothing happens.
I have updated all drivers and restarted windows.
I have verified game files in steam.
I have done a fresh install
I have reinstalled the dependancy folder.
Not sure what else to try, its not giving me a crash report or anything, it just literally isn't starting at all

The first time I tried to start the game it came up with a box that gave me the activation key and it says I need to enter the key once the game has launched (don't know if this is normal or relavent)

Ive also tried starting the exe as admin
Oh and I've checked task manager and the game isn't starting at all.
I've made exceptions in my antivirus software so it ignores everything in the kenshi folder and it can get through the firewall
