1.0.55 crash

What I was doing: Running in desert region to another city, reproduced the crash three times. Log dump attached.


Follow up question, what am I supposed to do? Run to a different city?

Looks to be an out of memory error. Had a few reports of this crash the past couple weeks.

For one person it was resolved by removing one of their mods, though they didn't say what mod. So I'd try testing without mods on, see if it still happens.

Other common suggestions online would be to reinstall graphics drivers, and to update windows. But as of yet those failed to help anyone with this problem with Kenshi.

Hopefully a dev can chime in with more info from the dump. As all I can do is speculate off the error message. I'll attach the two dumps I got from other people about the issue.

Thanks for the response, I will try to disable mods I guess!

My specs:

W10 pro 64-b
intel i9 5Ghz
32GB RAM
AMD RX 6900XT, latest drivers


Edit; as a follow up, I disabled all of the mods I was using, and haven't encountered a crash yet. Unfortunate because I don't know what mod it was that I disabled to make it so I am not running out of memory. Hmm. Vanilla for now I suppose.

What settings can I reduce to help prevent running out of memory?

It's not always actually your computer running out of memory. Sometimes out of memory errors happen when some bug or program causes it to be denied access to the memory, which seems quite likely here since reducing settings didn't help anyone else I've seen with the issue so far.

But anything that reduces graphics quality would help your virtual memory on the GPU. And turning off the fast zone hopping and keeping your characters together instead of spread out could help your physical memory.
