really want to get into this game but i think dark ui is ruining it

i recently got this game and i havent used really any mods other than the inkarnate map and the good map (whatever its called the one that everyone uses) and it seems like those are fine, but it seems that everytime i use darkui my game has a heart attack. im not entirely sure its darkui because sometimes it does it without it. it always crashes with darkui tho. im pretty sure my graphics are low enough. it wont really lag beforehand, it just goes black.

My guess would be your ram is the issue here, you don't have enough.

You have enough to meet minimum requirements, but your graphics card has no vram, and steals some normal ram to use as vram. Since you only barely pass the minimum requirements for ram, the game crashes when you either run out of ram or vram.

sadly laptops are not the best pieces of hardware for gaming. even more so for Kenshi.
but we also have no idea what your rig is. so cant say.
but expect a laptop to be a grade lower then its equivalent desktop version.

yeah i knew that but it surprised me with what other games it could run so i thought i’d at least try kenshi.

kenshi is different as its memory intensive and only uses 1 cpu core due to the games engine being single threaded. which is hard on any computer. as most moved away from single threaded architecture.
