It's not because the door is opened that it's ok to enter..
Usually, in my game, it's ok between 10:00 and 21:00. Sometimes, the shop is closed all day long.
Enter slowly, stay on the doorstep and check if the shopkeeper is already standing and waiting.

.. now i strike F5 before entering any shop anyway..
