Having serious issues with hunger from the get go with the most recent build.

Characters who have food in their inventory aren't eating it, so far I've discovered if I stash it into a backpack of some kind the group eats it which helps but it seems that not everyone is eating and as a result in the space of 1 day in game I've had someone go from 200 hunger down to 87 whilst the rest of the squad is maintaining anything between 150 to 230 with just dried fish and green fruit.

Also hunger seems to kick in very very quickly now compared to previously and this is from a freshly imported game not a clean start with fresh characters. Load weight / distance traveled might be an impact on hunger here i've basically moved my squad from just south of the holy mines by the dust tower to bad teeth but surely it shouldn't be affecting it that quickly.

Interesting. Yesterday I only recognized problems with fish. May chars did not want to eat it. Maybe I should put it in a bagpack last time. But theay definitely ate bread, dried meat and dustwich.

What kind of food did you give them besides fish?

I've noticed food has all been halved, it seems. Dried meat and fish only give 20 NU now. Ration packs give 125 instead of 250. The prices have gone down, but this seems to completely undo all the previous balancing to the hunger system and not only that, a character is almost never full.

If this is the new way, then food is way too scarce in the market. That's never made sense anyway, since presumably a lot of food would be needed to support a city and the way we can produce steamed vegetables one might expect a faction like the Holy Nation should at least match us, to understate it.

I hadn't realized that there'd been a change to the speed we become hungry as well. I suppose it balances out...though some of it does seem to require further balancing.

I'ts not balanced at all, at 0,25 the decay speed is extremely fast and if you have a Shek (faster hunger bar decay) you will suffer, a lot

This basically I lowered it to see what occurs but the with food now as well its a joke not to mention on the travel the food that was originally worth say 120 cats is now worth 750 to nearly 1k plus cats for dried fish alone was silly to say the least.
