Recurring Crash on Character Creation Screen

I've tried launching the game twice. The first time it ran an update and then launched. I hit New Game and it opened the Character Creation screen and immediately hung, with my cursor still working but with the game's cursor stuck in the middle of the screen. I Alt/Tabbed out and found a modal crash dialog hidden behind it.

Rebooted whole computer and tried again. Didn't update this time but still crashed the same way on Character Creation.

Your game is outdated it seems.

The current version is 0.23.7 (may show up as 23.5). Try updating to the latest version and try your luck again. Use the manual update if needed (install folder/Kenshi/wyupdate.exe)

Also give your pc specs next time (gpu, cores, cpu, ram, OS). Are you using the demo or a purchased game?

I can only analyze crashdumps that are from the latest version. do you have a crashDump0.22.7.zip? What did the crash dialog say? Can you also send me ogre.log?
