When updating to 0.25.0, settings.cfg was deleted (for me). When running the game its re-made but, some of the lines are not replaced. Including view distance so you could only see a bunch of blue fog and outlines.

Open settings.cfg in the main kenshi folder (Might not exist. Make it, or run the game once to have it made), then add any missing lines:
view distance=3000
platoon load distance=300
population=1.0
skip stencil tricks=0
grass range=1.0
foliage range=1.0
foliage density=1.0
grass density=1.0
mouse speed vertical=1.5
mouse speed horizontal=1.5
terrain hi-res distance=400

This is my first post.
What motivated me to register and post is that awful GRAINY sand texture!
It's rough like the stucco on a cheap building rather than the smooth, wind swept sand you originally had. I implore you to please bring back the original sand texture.

Wonderful Project by the way!

Oh, on a side note, my weapons seem to have vanished along with all supply posts, towns and all the rest of civilization. It took me a while to notice since I was so upset at seeing that beautiful desert sand get all hard and gloppy. You can probably guess that I really love the look of this game so much that i miss the smooth sand textures that I thought were more in scale to the characters. Just my opinion.

Everythings vanished?! Thats pretty serious. Can you send me your quicksave folder? Which version was it last working in, was it 0.24.3? Try to preserve it and not save over it in 0.25.0 before you send it to me. If you help me fix it, maybe I'll smooth out the sand for you...

Hang on is this a bug with your quicksave, or does it still happen when you start a new game?

Are you sure you just didint put the view distance really high, but not get close enough to a town for it to actually load? view distance and the distance towns load at are diffreant.

My view distance setting and other ones are set the same as it should be so i dont know what is the problem.

I seem to be in the same boat as the previous posters.

Inventory is still present and visible as inventory. However, the weapons are missing when walking around or fighting. Buildings are also invisible, though you can catch people floating in air if they're walking on one of the platform buildings. This is present in new games as well as the old save files.

Reinstalling back to .22 results in things being visible again. Erasing all files, reinstalling and updating back to 0.25.1 results in the same problem cropping up. Running in Win7 Home 64bit.

I"d thought maybe it was just an old file hanging around, then checked that the config settings match the initial post on this thread. Neither seems to be the issue. I'll keep poking about a little longer and post if I find something.
