So since the latest update my characters will get randomly stuck.
If for example I move three characters to walk to a point on the map, one will just stop at a random point and not go past that point. ctrl+shift+f11 does not fix the problem.

So I rolled back to stable to see if that would fix the problem but it persists  Is there any hope for my save or is it time to start again?

I failed to reproduce the bug in that area. I expect it has something to do with your save. Can you upload it so I can have a look. Broken save games are usually salvageable.

I have had the same issue as well. I first noticed it in united cities territory.

A temporary workaround seems to force a save of some kind. I used F5 to quicksave as well as normal saving and both have got my characters moving again, at least for a while until it happens again and I have to repeat.

The same.

Problem is indeed in save file. New game is not affected. Importing save solves this issue.

Happened to me as will near Blister Hill. Had to close the game and reload to fix it. Quick saving and reloading right away stuck the game in the loading screen.

It was like there was an invisible barrier between map tiles (I could go backwards, but the character could not advance past that invisible line).

Your problem is a bug that occurs when you place a gate the wrong way round. The game tries to set the entire world to the region inside that gate which causes problems. A quick fix would be to leave the offending gate open or to dismantle it.

In my case, I had no walls.

Thanks for the help man, I'll dismantle the gate directly. It's been a problem since i built it.
