[0.95.17] 0-Net Change Battery (Dis)Charge Exploit

Ok, why is it that I keep stumbling into exploits by accident? First the cloning exploit in the .72, now this. Apparently, I see no mention of this in the forum, so I'll talk about this.

While I was playing in my new run as a Skeleton solo character and built a functioning base in 100 days in the Fog Islands, something interesting came across. Despite that there is no device using power, I noticed that my batteries were still draining. Sure enough, they report working battery in/out values despite that there is 0 energy being used or generated in the town. It was quite surprising at the time when I needed reserve power on windless days before generator tech became available.

After establishing generator and some fuel, I check for the reverse, charging the battery. This becomes most apparent when I set it up while paused and using the generator. But really, any device producing or spending power will do, as only the net power change affects battery power in/out and retains even in 0 net power change.
  • -Make sure all devices and lighting are off (Power is 0/0 in Outpost Window)
-Make sure the time state is Paused
-Turn on generator while it has fuel
-Wait until the Outpost Window refreshes and shows power input (or see that generator reports fuel consumption)
-Turn off generator and ensure that the Outpost reports 0/0
-Check on any working battery for Power In and see if there is positive input
-Unpause and watch the battery charge, and battery status from window, increases, depending on time speed (doesn't show >> or <<, but battery charge still changes).
I would like others to verify my findings to be valid and reproducible. Screenshots may not adequately portray the situation, and I have yet to set up a video capture software.
