Lo-Fi Games

Hi support,

Its not actually a crash but a possible Bug. I have bought Kenshi and while playing it shows a pop up message that says something about to copy a key and this game might need it later press shift tab to close it.

Well after I open the steam overlay it opens normally but when I press Shift tab again it doesn't close. Steam Overlay stays there and my mouse control goes back to game. I can run and do stuff in game while Steam Overlay is still there blocking my view. I have to close my game and restart it each time I try to open Steam Overlay.

That's what Steam Support said to me.

Please check to make sure your game files are installed correctly.
Right-click on the game in your Library list and go to Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Cache.
NOTE: There may be files that fail to validate. This is normal and can be ignored.
After Steam verifies the game cache, try running the game again.
If you continue to experience this issue, please contact the game developer for support.

So i tried and its not solved.

in the popup window there should be a option to accept or uncheck it.. i think. it's been awhile since i seen that popup. but the option is in the steam interface. or should be.
or you can disable the steam overlay in Steam settings menu, then click in-game tab then uncheck "Enable Steam overlay while in-game"

Well ammm, Yes there is an option but problem is... My mouse control goes back to the game while Steam Overlay is still above the game. Which means I can not perform any action on Steam Overlay WHAT SO EVER. Which means I can not click and disable that check box once it appears.

How can I attach a screen shot here? Just to clarify my issue .

I can disable Steam Overlay but its handy so I don't really want to disable it, but i would if there is no solution.

I am a patient gamer and actually a software developer so I understand pretty well and sympathize with Support Team . I would be waiting for the solution though.

same as when uploading a crashdump.
the process is posted here

and if your mouse isn't moving.
alt tab out of the game, then click on the game to bring it back. see if that fixes your mouse issue. i have had that issue on other games, this fixes it for me.

Well I will upload image later. Just letting you know that it has something to do with my machine/hardware.

I backed up the game from this machine(laptop not a good one but fills minimum requirements) to my 2nd machine (which is good), games working fine, Steam Overlay is not misbehaving...

So if you need my logs or anything to check and solve the issue. I am more than happy to help. Other wise this ticket can be closed.

I just wanted to help you guys know of a possible bug.
