Hopefully someone can help me out because this is single-highhandedly ruining my experience of Kenshi.

The Automatic Jobs system doesn't seem to be working for me. At first it was fine, but now people not assigning to engineering start building stuff, foraging corpses is non-existent & the greenfruit farm has to be micromanaged otherwise we all starve. I Really just want to focus on the farm though, because people doing random jobs I can cope with, but no food? Not playable.

As you can see in the link, every time a farm is filled up, the farmer (Beanhop) assigned to it picks up the greenfruits, then just stands there indefinitely. I'm forced to move her closer to the "Greenfruit Storage" for her to drop her load, then proceed farming until the farm is full again.
I tried to alleviate this by having a dedicated "Greenfruit Hauler", but Natalie, bless her, suffered the exact same problem 90% of the time.

My PC's i7 with dual 970's, & I installed 2 mods. Recruit prisoners, & Kenshicons. None of which should have an affect. If they somehow do, I'll gladly uninstall them.

from my guess/poor experience, it may cause by circulation/traffic flow.
sometimes it looks well from our view but the pathfinding just can't fit a smooth line, so it got interrupted and stopped.

try to change the position of the storage:greenfruit.
make it close to door or put it outside the shack.

Can you upload a savegame, so we can figure out the exact cause?

Just before & after reviewing Minokz's message, I revamped my base design determined to enjoy this fantastic game. Though, seriously luckily, I just found a save 4% away from the Greenfruit crop maturing with Beanhop getting glitched. It's worth noting that despite my current game being 0.96.26, the attached saved game was version 0.96.17.

I believe the cause stemmed from when I placed the activate-able objects; I didn't have all the "example" men green when placing a blueprint, as I assumed that I'd only need a couple interaction points green to interact with the object, thus I packed a lot of blueprints tightly. Consequently, I now make sure all blueprint men stay green, never red, to ensure a massive improvement to the AI path finding.

I do now have one more path finding issue on a present save, but again it's just a matter of AI path finding unable to cope. In the attached images, the grog machine is seemingly unmanageable (by Rebecca in this case). No doubt due to it's location in the corner surrounded by other workstations. All placements in this house were done with green men always visible mind you.

I can provide a fresh save for the grog machine, but my game is much more modified than before. Again, nothing that would interfere with Path finding of a grog machine, but still.

Not that this suggestion is a fix, but I found setting toon to do nothing but gather farming resources, riceweed, greenfruit and store it has helped tremendously. This schmucks only job is to schlep product from one point to another. I also did the same for the water tanks. Seems to help. I also found that I if I have say 4 farms each farm with a single toon managing it, I create a 2nd, 3th and 4th job of managing the other 3 farms. The farms never harvest at the same time so more rapid harvesting takes place though if their primary farm is ready the stop what they are doing and work on that instead.

also, from my guess/poor experience, the grog/sake/rum machine may have problem other than pathfinding.

make sure u have 2 barrels,
try setting like this(shift+mouse right click):
1. haul to barrel A
2. autojob (grog/sake/rum) machine
3. haul to barrel B
