Cant build or dismantle unfinished carpets

Topic says it all.

Basically I just see red lines on the floor when I placed the carpet, but cant Interact with it anyhow.

If u have an permanent engineer then he will collect fabrics and make the carpets. But it is annoying u can't click on them if u want to dismantle them.
