The crossed tools (build) icon doesn't show when I hover over them so construction cannot go as planned. I've also used shift-build (bringing up the Engineer task) but Inu is not responding. The other items construct just fine (crafting benches, benches, and storage units).
How do I cancel constructing them? (I've already clicked the Confirm button unfortunately.)
Carpets not showing the build icon when I hover my mouse over them

Oh, that's an old one. From what i remember, people with engineer jobs do build it eventually, so I guess you could try and wait till they get their hands on that carpet, and delete it afterwards, but that seems to be a slim chance.
You should be very able to delete it from the Shift+F12 ingame editor, just make sure to save beforehand and be very precise while deleting.

Thanks Sol! I'll try that fix if the first one doesn't work.Sol Lignum wrote: ↑Tue Jul 17, 2018 12:10 pmOh, that's an old one. carpets aren't buildings, that must be from a mod. It would cause a bug like that if the carpet "building" had no collision

Carpets are available from the "Random Furniture" research though. And - i think - they were even fine at some point, and got broken later.Captain Deathbeard wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 5:14 pmcarpets aren't buildings, that must be from a mod. Or just build them right away with no delays, or rely on your engineers to build it eventually. And place them thoughfully either way.

Sorry for the late reply guys; RL and ISP issues got in the way.
Three patches have launched since then so I'll get back to you on this if ever I see this bug rear its ugly head once again.
