Primary bug: Crash on Dismantle of glitched-out MK2 Mounted Crossbow (Spotlight) on Tier 3 Wall
Savegame included for wonky situation
Import Game breaks game until Save/Exit/Load after Importing
_
Right upon importing from .38 to .40 [imported dead npcs], I was assaulted at my base by Escaped Rebirth Slaves
[buggy base raid, potentially Reactive World mod content, but either way, always is the first thing that happens when I load up a game of Kenshi since the latest big conquest patch]
AND a horde of River Raptors; they all piled in on my gate. It was night-time.
I sent followers to man my MK II Spotlight Mounted Crossbows. I noticed that the direction of the spotlights seemed glitchy, like they were stuck in an awkward position and not being aimed.
It was only a few raiders at first, so I figured my turret gunners could whittle away the attack while my engineers kept the gate up. Easy experience, fun test of my people's skill (they're pretty well-trained gunners) I thought.
The turrets have a U angle on the gate, so they should be able to hit targets who are right up on the steps bashing on the gate. But for a solid minute, ten of my gunners shot into nowhere at all. It was clear the turrets weren't working for some reason. Granted, the few crossbowmen amongst the raiders couldn't seem to hit any of my people up on the walls either, but I saw their hunger (-5%) and the darkness (-?%) made their already low shooting skill extremely low, so I wasn't surprised.
(MAIN BUG) I noticed that even though I had 440/290 power and a full 2100 fueled reserve of generators, the spotlight crossbows reported having "no power".
I let some of my gunners abandon their stations, brought my fighters to the gate, and beat up all the attackers. We won easily (of course!). I had non-powered MK I crossbow turrets inside my gates which were manned and firing, but I wasn't sure if they were hitting or missing as I was paying attention to the melee at the time.
(MAIN BUG) after the battle (river raptor nest ## cleared; 'Escaped Rebirth Slaves squad removed from base' msg), I attempted to make my man Hobbs dismantle one of the spotlight crossbows to maybe reinstall it. Instant crash. Here's the dump and savegame.

FOLLOW-UP:
Upon loading the Savegame, I sent a follower to man a turret, and the spotlight's light tracking seems to work normally; Dismantle works without crashing, and the turret does not report "no power" as it did before.
CONCLUSION:
The bug is due to playing straight from Import. I could probably re-import the previous save of 0.98.38 to recreate the crash step-by-step, but that's work I don't need to do, though if desired I could provide the save so that the developers can recreate the bug.
Lesson learned? Expect things to go wrong when Importing the game, and maybe Save the game first and Exit/Reload to 'reset' things properly. Main bug fix found, but glitches in Importing Game worth reporting in detail.
[FIXED] [0.98.40] Broken M2 Crossbow Turret (Spotlight), Crash on Dismantle
Crash recreated. I imported my game as I was playing it, to update Reactive World mod, decided I'd test the crash. The spotlight lights gave it away, and sure enough, making my follower Dismantle one of the turrets crashed the game to desktop. Loading the save after Import and continuing play as normal still works.
