The Shrieking Bandits faction never seem to have any faction relations changes, neither positive or negative, no matter how many you kill.
Because their relationship never goes into the far negative to where they are considered enemies they will never be attacked on sight by our own characters. The bandits themselves don't attack unless you trigger their dialog first. This combination means you will eventually end up with crippled bandits (from an earlier fight with you) crawling around in your base doing nothing but hoping to trigger their dialog which they can't.
((Sadly for the life of me I can't get them to do this anymore today, they where doing it all day yesterday, so I can't provide a savefile right now.))
Sometimes they are considered enemies but because they're crawling our characters don't want to attack them, except for characters that are manning turrets. Turrets will shoot at them but this can cause starvation when they are unable to hit them, the turrets will just continue to fire at them even when completely blocked by obstacles and because the character manning the turret is in combat he'll refuse to get food even as he starves to death.
Even if it is intentional to never have faction relation changes for Shrieking Bandits, please reconsider, it gets old fast that I have to go into dialog with them every few minutes instead of just automatically going into combat.

I think the fixed faction relation is intentional, as shrieking bandits are confused sods that do not really bare any ill will towards you if they think you are one of theirs.
I imagine the described turret problems are a hassle, though.
