[0.99.1] Attacking hostile NPC as they throw an intruder out

So I came across the Spider Factory and had most of my squad healing underneath from the acid rain before I headed in but I figured I'd send my skeleton up to soften up some spiders. When he got beaten the foreman picked him up and took him outside, ignoring all my squad members. When he was a little distance away I sent one of my fighters to attack him while he was still carrying my skeleton. When I went to attack him though the foreman kind of just froze up and wouldn't retaliate (as pictured). I called off the attack after that but the foreman kind of just stood there. When I pulled my attacker away he went and dropped my member and then chased after my attacker. If I wanted to however I probably could've just beat the hell out of him without any reaction. Feels a bit broken.
