I am in the Hub, starting out. I bought the first shack just inside the gates that are for copper and iron mining. I have 6 guys on auto mining and then depositing the ore in 2 storages bins I made in this shack; one for iron ore, and one for copper ore. Whenever I want to transfer the ore from those storage boxes to sell at the bar, if a character has "jobs" turned on, even if there isn't a procedure that I have made for the job, I get an empty inventory even after shift clicking the ore to move into my characters inventory.

So basically, jobs button checked, click on ore, shift click ore to move to my main characters backpack, run to the bar, and nothing is in the inventory. The jobs button is somehow shorting out my ability to transfer goods to my character successfully.

Thanks though for the great game.

Okay, I've experienced this before, on different occasions.

When you want to transfer from the storage, to your backpack, and then sell at the bar - do the following:

- Get next to the storage with the character.

- Pause the game.

- Transfer items from storage to backpack.

- Rotate (and if necessary, zoom out) the camera so you can see the entrance to the bar.

- Click near the entrance of the bar, so that your character has a Move Order.

- Lift the pause by hitting the spacebar, or clicking on one of the arrows next to the pause button.

- When the character gets near enough, click to go inside the bar and near the barman.

- Right click on the barman and select Talk To.

- Sell your items.

That means you have "automatically ditch resources" turned on in the AI options, so your character sees they have extra iron ore and dump it into storage to free their inventory. Either give the move command while paused like the other poster said, or turn off that AI option, or sell directly from the storage (shift+click while the shop window is open) instead of transferring each piece of iron into someone's inventory and running it over.
