Crash on New Game/Load Game

Playing on version 0.27.1

Every time I try to start a new game or load a game after changing the resolution, the game crashes. I tried changing back to the original resolution but apparently it won't let me. I'm using a Toshiba Satellite laptop with an Intel HD card AND a 540m Nvidia card. The laptop is plugged into a differently sized monitor. When I try to change the resolution, apparently it thinks the laptop resolution is king even though its not what I'm using (laptop is 1366x768, monitor is 1280x1024). I haven't tested using just the laptop screen yet. The game's launcher also does not recognize the Nvidia card, but I'm not sure if thats accurate or not.

A little more detail on what happens in game, sometimes the character loads up, sometimes it doesn't even make it that far. A lot of times it stops with the LOADING message in the corner, then I get the crash dump message.

According to some other threads, this is being looked at for the next release. Since thats the case, I'm mainly submitting this in case there are other issues at play. Thanks for the dedication!

First you want to get running on the nvidia card, that might fix the crashing. This is a system thing, your laptop likes to use the crappy HD card for things by default because it saves power, so it could be hiding the nvidia card. You need to look around your system settings for the fix, let me know if you can fix it.

Yeah, I ran into the problem a year or so ago when I got the laptop. Had to do that fix then because stuff like Minecraft or Farcry 2 would run on the intel HD card (and come very close to getting fried). After trying to re-do the fix though, I still can't get Kenshi to recognize the nvidia card. I'll see if I can dig around some and try to fix it, but this is a bit over my head.

This might sound stupid, but it already hapened to one of my friend. Make sure the card is correctly connected (If you can, of course. Dont destroy your computer only for this. Find a better reason.)

Yeah, stupid thing works fine for everything else haha. Its just kenshi that it's hiding from.

Try setting "No Terrain Cutting" in the options.
