you do not need to use steam
go to the folder location
find the file
and upload it to the forum here.

you are given easy to use pictures on exactly how to do it.

your game should be automatically updated
GoG does have that service
why are you not on current version of 1.0.26?

As using older version means any crashes you have were most likely fixed in newer versions.
