Knocking out raid, without being detected

Unsure if it is working as intended , or not.
If you stealth in front of a bandit raid to your outpost, and knock out someone while the other bandits have vision on you does not trigger the start of the raid.

Steps to reproduce
1.Have settlement, and get raid to start at your outpost
2.Stealth and knock out the opponent, and let the other bandits notice you [ red eye ]
3.Knock out 100% of the bandits, and loot them without anyone ever batting a eye.

Expected results;
If a bandit is looking at you and you knock out his friend, it automatically triggers the start of the raid.

I too have seen this happen. Sometimes i can knock everyone out, other times the rest of the group retreats if dust bandits.
