Stuck in the loading screen

Everything is fine up until I try to load into my game. When I press either, "Continue", "Load", or "Import" it sends me to the loading screen, and I never get past that, it's just stuck there, I waited several hours on the loading screen but nothing. The only way to actually get to my saved playthrough is to start a new game, load in my old playthrough, and it would load in but, none of characters show up on the character bar, then crashes.
