[1.00.50] Rare Legion Scout Squad Attacking Skin Bandit Patrols without Opposition

I happen to have spotted a Legion Skeleton squad roaming around the Skinhouse HQ while I'm plotting to destroy the Skin Bandits to stop them from raiding my base. One of Legion Skells seems to be shooting, but it seems like the Skin Bandits do not even care being shot at...

But according to the wiki about Skin Bandits, they seem to have no beef with the Legion Skeletons. Yet their "allies" are still attacking them. Is this intentional? Especially the rare Legion Skeleton squad they encountered?
