FCS "natural armor" for races

Most experienced modders at this point know that the "natural armour" selection in the race editing window does nothing. I decided to mess around with the definitions files for FCS and move the function around to see if I could make it work. I moved it to the character editing menu on the logic that this is where armour is usually added and perhaps was meant to go here. didn't help. I moved it to animal characters thinking that maybe they were the only ones meant for this. didn't help. I added values to the NA listing to match those found in the character editing window for armour (1, 100) hoping that perhaps the number of items and percent chance of spawn would make a difference. I also tried this new value on races, characters and animal characters. no difference.
At this point I can only assume that while it was added to fcs.def and shows up in FCS it has no real function. I know that there are lots of parts of FCS that are left in from previous versions or that have something wrong with their implementation. I realize that there is no plan to fix any of these things especially in light of the devs focus on Kenshi 2.
I just want to ask that on someone's free time if they can look at this one. The reason I ask is because it would make a huge difference to modders like myself to be able to use that function. It would open up many possibilities for new races and racial ability adjustments.
Cheers, and thanks for an amazing game.
