[1.0.51] I've been credited for "capturing" Skin Bandit leader when I killed him instead

I've decided to just kill the Skin Bandit leader and leave him there instead of turning him in for a bounty at UC (and gaining positive rep). However, when I visited a UC town, I was told by a random patrolling Samurai that they congratulated me for "capturing" the Skin Bandit leader --- when in reality: I killed him.

Are the primary variables incorrect or something?

Pretty much a non-issue as the game can't determine the difference between one/the other.
Dead is = captured/dead.

Actually it can. Most world states don't bother, but they are set up to be able to do so.

In this case it's just checking if Savant = 1 or not. Where 1 means "okay", which is not dead, KO'd, or captured. But it could also check if they are = 2, which is captured. And = 0, which is dead.

So there are ways to trigger the dialog in a way that would make more sense, this dialog just isn't set up to do so.
