If someone could post a link to how to upload a crash file i'd love to send it.

Kenshi crashed and when i started playing again i see my squad all 20 standing on top of each other for half a second then they disappear. (they weren't all together before) There are none of the little boxes that represent each squad member. If i try to start a new game with the old squad there arn't any so the game is unplayable atm.


I had 19 of my men waiting in the first town you start in with 2 on the the training stations and the rest standing around while i had one character running around killing things, he in the desert near one of the unnamed outposts, he had just killed 3 sand ninjas and i was having him run to the outpost to sleep.

Then it crashed. When i reloaded my squad was gone and around a 1/4 of the terrain is missing from where my character was killing things to the end of the map. Its all white screen, i can still see men running over it and where outposts are.

My computer has
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 Processor 3.40 GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 16.0 GB
System type: 64-bit Operating System

Was it normal crash? Or super crash? Did it create crash dump to Kenshi folder?

To upload it, press 'upload attachment' in 'post a reply' screen.

Then choose latest crashDump file from your Kenshi folder and press add the file.

I don't know the difference between crashes and super crashes. I also cannot find the kenshi install folder or anything similar to it

Yes, that's right.

Super crash is crash that doesn't create crashDump for some reason. When that occurs, the popup saying 'super crash' comes.

Should i wait for the next update or start a new game? (I really don't want to start over)

Send me your savegame too. Find the folder in your kenshi folder kenshi/save/quicksave and put the whole quicksave folder in a zip, then upload it here. I will see if I can fix it for you.

So I see it crashed when you pressed F5. Your savegame is corrupted because it crashed halfway through saving. Try importing your squad to a new game, it might save them.

If your savegame is lost then I am sorry, but thanks to your crash report I have fixed the cause of the crash. I've installed a fail-safe now, so if a similar crash ever happens again, it wont happen until the saving is complete.
