Crashes every time i save

The game crashes every time i save my progress. What is causing it?

Unfortunately I don't see anything of note in the logs. The save.log doesn't even record an attempt to save.
First thing I would try is toggling the user save location option, see if saving in the other spot works or not.

I toggled the user save location, it did nothing.
