Game Crash - Kenshi 1.0.55 x64 (Newland)

Game crashes when I press BEGIN in the NEW GAME menu. The Loading screen opens and the soundtrack starts. But i seems like the game crashes instantly because the mouse cursor freezes. I have attached the dump file.

I am running the game on Steam through Wine on OSX on a Macbook M1.

Macbook Pro M1 2020
RAM 16 GB
macOS 13.3


I know it's not a supported way of running the game so I understand if you cannot help me out with this. I would be great though and very much appreciated if ya cann!

Unfortunately the dump isn't very helpful here. All it's returning is an access violation (0xc0000005), which is one of the most common windows errors out there, and has any number of possible causes.

Best guess, something wrong coming from your setup here, since it isn't supported. Some quirk about the game or windows installation that is making them not compatible.
