Crash when selecting an NPC

Been playing for years and this is the first time I have seen a crash like this.
My squad of one rather new Hiver was sneaking from Squin to The Hub. At the halfway point crossroads, I saw 2 NPCs. I tried to click one to select it so I could see the faction. Game crashed the instant I clicked the NPC.
Playing on 16" MacBookPro 2019 running Sonoma (23C71) and Windows 22H2 10.0.19045.3930. Installed all latest Windows Updates. AMD driver is 21.30.45.18 (latest from AMD site for MacBookPro). GPU is AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8GB.
Playing with MBP in clamshell mode connected to Apple Studio Display and using Magic Keyboard connected via USB and wireless Razer Basilisk X via 2.4GHz RF to receiver in USB hub dongle.
Playing in borderless windowed mode at 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) with Studio Display configured for the same resolution via Advanced Display Settings. In other words, the active signal resolution of the display is 4K, not 5K scaled down to 4K. StudioDisplay defaults to 5K but the game is a little choppy at that res so I crank it down. It displays better when the active resolution matches the desktop res.
Submitting this because the in-game popup asked me to. Good luck, team!
