Couldn't save zone files; crashed during saving?

First of all: Kenshi is amazing, love the game :D 28 hours in the last 14 days is pretty rare for me
Secondly: I was innocently playing tonight, just happily minding my own business sending my people to their chores, and I wanted to save the game before taking cactus into Stack just North of The Hub, aaand it crashed on me  very sad. I was able to reload a previous save -- I always have multiple saves for this reason, ever since Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion threw away a ~200 hour save -- so I only lost a few minutes playtime, and I could pick right back up :) saving new files was fine, but trying to overwrite the -other- old save made Kenshi crash again.

So I've zipped up the 2 bad save folders in BotchedSaves.zip and provided the save.log and crashdump files here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

Lastly, I've received your preemptive reply stating "Thanks for the help, I fixed it now maybe probably" so I really appreciate the rapid response and resolution in getting this bug fixed :D

Unsure why it crashed the first time, but I'd wager your crashes from the attempting to overwrite is because the saves are incomplete, due to their prior crash happening before they were done.

If it were me, I'd go into the folders and manually delete the two corrupted saves. That should allow you to save using those names again.

Thank you for the surprisingly rapid reply, I honestly wasn't expecting a ~6hr response time.

Pretending for a minute that I've got some experience in software development (think register-level microcontroller in asm/C/C++), is there more information or other files I could give that might give better insight? (Is there something I should watch for if it happens again?) I know the worst kinds of bugs are the intermittent and non-repeatable ones, so I've kept the saves (and in fact, every save since then) intact.

I'll attach my dxdiag.txt (even though it's very likely not hardware related) in case anything makes you go "oh, running it on a NUC, there's the problem" or anything :P that's never been a problem with Kenshi or any other game before so don't spend more than 30 seconds on it, but anyway I hit 300 hours playtime this weekend according to Steam so it's obviously not soured my experience too much, and it's been working fine since, so... I'm at as much of a loss for ideas as you :P

Thank again!
