characters stuck on the roof

Description:
Some of my characters are stuck on the roof of a building in Trader's Edge
Steps to Reproduce:
don't know, I sent them there to bodyguard my overcarrying trader and when I looked again (I was killing some time - bandits with 2 of my team) 3 guys are stuck on a roof.
Consistency
First time it occured, and I don't know if it will happen again... Hopefully not.
System specs/OS:
Windows 7 32bit, 3,06GHz intel core 2 duo, ATI Radeon HD2600, 3 Gb RAM.
Severity:
i think major or blocker, as it keeps me from performing actions with the 3 men stuck.
Workaround:
none found yet. Maybe importing characters, but i don't want to lose my progress so far.
