0.31.1 Crashes and bugs
I can usually play for about 30 mins - an hour before a crash comes. I crashed once while I was looting and another time when I tried to quick load.
A bug I noticed was that some enemies and my own characters would die but remain standing. I don't know if anyone posted about this already but I just wanted to get it out there anyways.
Sometimes when i'm moving items in the stores and inventories, if I move an item on top of a stack or single item and try to place the new item somewhere else, it will disappear if I don't place it in a valid spot. this happens in my own inventory and when rearranging stuff in the stores.

i been saving and loading games but i can not get the game to crash 1 time so far in 2h of play.
I will try to use inveory more and see if i can get same bugs.
so far 0 crashes i try harder and see if i can get it to crash.

I crashed again just now while transferring some items to my new guys. I think the crashes have something to do with the inventory screen. Whenever a crash happens a blank grey box appears in the top left corner of my screen.
I also noticed the dead enemies, characters, and npcs who die standing upwards are sometimes all twisted up like the ragdoll effect didn't work right or something.
I was finally able to take a bandit leader to the prison. didn't read anywhere if I was or wasn't supposed to but I didn't receive a reward for it. After I left the building all of the buildings in the city (and my own house nearby) remained cut in half and I could see the dark insides. It stayed like this for about 5 minutes until I crashed. (Next time I'll try to get some screenshots)

Nevermind the thing about the bounty... i just had to read the description on the enemy to see if they had one.
Idk if this is a bug or on purpose but its wierd that my higher skilled guys take on 1-1 and die but my brand new recruits take on the whole enemy squad and come out unscratched.

Make sure to upload the crashDump zips if you have them, otherwise I can't fix them.
Do you mean your weak guys are always better? Or do you mean that the outcome of combat seems more luck based than stat based?digital12 wrote:Idk if this is a bug or on purpose but its wierd that my higher skilled guys take on 1-1 and die but my brand new recruits take on the whole enemy squad and come out unscratched.
Can you give a more precise example of a way I can reproduce this bug?digital12 wrote:Sometimes when i'm moving items in the stores and inventories, if I move an item on top of a stack or single item and try to place the new item somewhere else, it will disappear if I don't place it in a valid spot. this happens in my own inventory and when rearranging stuff in the stores.
@Chris: The bug he is talking about is the same bug I use as a workaround to limited inventory space in shops. What you do is click on an item in your inventory, then place it in a spot in the shopkeeper's inventory that matches it's size exactly (Ex. Your Sabre placed on Shop Sabre). You'll get the money for the item you put into the shopkeeper's inventory, so all you do next is place the item that was swapped in a spot where it there is no space for it (Ex. Shop Sabre placed across two katanas, or four hats, etc).
The item that was selected will then disappear completely. It does not go into your inventory as it was not purchased, and it does not go into the shopkeeper's inventory since there is no room. It is simply gone.
Another thing, there has to be no room left in the shopkeeper's inventory when you try to place the item where it doesn't fit, otherwise it will just fill whatever available slots there are. Hopefully this explained it well enough.
In regards to the new guys being stronger, the only thing I've seen similar is if he has modded the game files or updated the game so that new recruits have better stats than normal, or if he hired some of the 2500cats guys. That would mean that he just hadn't trained his original 'veterans' enough to be stronger than some of the new recruits.

Ok thanks. Fixed.
No I didn't mod anything. I think it has something to do with the sabre cause that's the only weapon this works on. Both of my guys who use the sabre (Ringed specifically) manage to block like 99% of all hits with 1% being if a teammate interferes and the enemy slashes everyone. All of my katana wielding guys take lots of hits even though their katana skills are higher than the other guys' sabre skills. Maybe it has something to do with the character actions because I notice they take more hits when in "territorial agression" mode.In regards to the new guys being stronger, the only thing I've seen similar is if he has modded the game files or updated the game so that new recruits have better stats than normal, or if he hired some of the 2500cats guys. Weapon skills don't affect blocking. Is affected by melee defence
Those are calculated against enemy unit's attack and defense to determine if and how much damage you will do to them, and vice versa. Putting units on block gives a massive boost to the defense skill which is why it makes it hard for them to take damage. I believe that weapon skills only affect attack speed with that specific weapon type.
If you don't want the negative bonus, you should get an old trader's backpack (carried by all of the caravan traders wandering around the desert), or you should just put it in that character's inventory. It's not worth it to get negative stats on a character unless you're doing a trade mission or their skills are so high any negative bonus doesn't matter.

Caravans get stuck when going up/coming down sand dunes. If I "bodyguard" them my characters get stuck the same way. Can't tell with the screen shot but all of the figures are like, vibrating back and forth in the same place
