Need testers to help with "Fancy Shaders" mode

Ok everyone, as you know there's an option called "Fancy Shaders". Its the official proper way to have the game running with proper lighting, but its disabled by default because a lot of people found that it made all the buildings go invisible on their systems.
A common downside of using the "old" non-fancy shaders is that you will notice an ugly black fizzing effect on some of the buildings.

I would like to fix this, but I can't unless I can reproduce the bug, so if everyone can try running the game with Fancy Shaders turned on (requires game restart) and if you find buildings are invisible, please let me know your exact video card, and whether or not its a laptop.

I'm especially interested in finding the name of a non-laptop video card, because then I can get the same video card and fix it.
If it only happens on laptops though, I will have to do what I did for the black terrain bug: find someone with the bug and keep sending them new files to test until it works.

Rightio. Will check it out after work.

EDIT: Did it now instead. It seems fine. I'm on a laptop with a radeon HD 5800 and things are nice.

What does confuse me though is that shop signs are glowing silver at night. At first I thought it might be a new shop neon light system or something but it tends to be one side only that glows and on the flat faced signs it is often the backside only that glows. It is hard to describe and isn't always completely across the sign sometimes.

I'm playing around with it on a nVidia gtx 275. Haven't seen many problems yet. I think the "neon sign" thing Blxz is seeing is just the incredibly high reflectivity of the metal signs combined the background static white lighting.

I've also noticed that if you zoom in closely to wooden doors, they're also slightly reflective. And the interior of buildings is affected totally by the day/night lighting.

Can't help you. All seem to be normal for me.

I'd be glad to test it, but I'm in a 6870x2 Crossfire setup, so might not be the best candidate.

Thanks. I only need to know if anyone cannot run it okay.

You could remove the option to run it without fancy shaders. You'd get your feedback fairly quickly....

They might complain but then they should have posted here beforehand.

I realize you just stated that you do NOT require anyone to let you know if everything is running ok, however I thought it would be of interest to you to let you know that I run it fine.

My specs:

A6 AMD Vision (Quad Core) 2.70Ghz
4 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7520G with ONLY 512 dedicated video memory.

I run it on high settings actually, with only minimal stuttering in Windowed mode (fullscreen is smooth).
It's a laptop.

I'm on a laptop with GeForce GT540M (CUDA) 2GB. Buildings seem to work fine, although if you could post screenshots of what it should and shouldn't look like that'd be great.

This is insane. Reading comprehension in this thread is abysmal.

Why do you need a screenshot? The buildings will be invisible if it's not working correctly. Invisible. Just as the OP described.

What? Troll? You know exactly what he doesn't need. Armed with that information you decide that he will be interested in what he doesn't need? This is... this is so many colorful words all packed into one.

The farther you get down this thread the more nonsensical it gets. Do not post if you can see buildings with fancy shaders on. You're wasting time.

DO post if you turn on fancy shaders, restart the game, and your buildings disappear!

I agree with your sentiment and the replies both amused and surprised me. However i must say i doubt the dude was trying to incite an angry response (which is what a troll is defined by). And if he was a troll, you just fed him.

Hey Chris not sure if you still wanted feedback on this but when I run fancy shaders sometimes when I go into a building and come back out all the buildings in the town disappear except for the foundations. THey eventually show back up in a min or two if I zoom all the way out. Not sure if thats what your looking for, good luck.
