Crash at start of a fight

Was making a trading run from Shark to the starting city (cant recall its name atm) when I bumped into a Dust Bandit boss. The moment my character made his first swing (dont know if it hit or not) the game crashed. There was a fight happening WAY off in the distance, so maybe that somehow contributed. Note this was not the first fight on the trip. Wasnt able to recreate the crash.
