I'm not sure what's causing this, but when I tried to load my old game from .35 (I think that was the version before .39 anyways), the game would load all the assets correctly - Buildings, characters, GUI, etc. - but after it was finished loading, it would crash. The crash dump held this in it:
(Note: Since there's so little in it, there's no point attaching the actual dump.)

Code: Select all

Dump Summary
------------
Dump File:	crashDump0.39.1.dmp : G:\Games\Kenshi\crashDump0.39.1.dmp
Last Write Time:	2/12/2013 4:07:57 AM
Process Name:	_core.exe : G:\Games\Kenshi\_core.exe
Process Architecture:	x86
Exception Code:	0xC0000005
Exception Information:	The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.
Heap Information:	Not Present

Now, I know that most times, any application that give a "0xC0000005" error can be fixed simply by running the program as administrator, but that wasn't the case here. I tried running kenshi.exe as admin, loaded the old game, and it crashed. So, I tried running _core.exe directly as admin (RightClick->RunAsAdmin), but it still crashed, giving me the same dump contents.

But, starting a new game with the Import Squad & All My Buildings option seemed to "fix" the issue... with the unfortunate effect of breaking my outpost.
I'm not sure what's going on, but importing my squad apparently fixed it, and I can load the game properly.

EDIT: OH! And a little side note, I've noticed that the default key to open the character skills page is "S", the same key the moves the camera down. I vote to change that. XD Also, the dialog page inside the skills page doesn't stay with the main window if you drag the window around.
