New Game Same Class Crashing

I go to create a new game and choose the class The Wanderer, the same as my previous saved game. For only a mere second it shows the character model but then dissappears where it shows the image of my previous game of where I last left the camera off at. The screen continues for a short while, around 5-10 seconds, then freezes where the message of Kenshi crashing pops up behind the game.
When I created a new character as a tradesman, the issue did not occur. I also deleted my saved game information and chose The Wanderer and the issue did not occur.
