Game crash on "New Game" [solved]

I have tried various graphics options to try and create the most agreeable environment, but nothing seems to help. Not sure what else to try.

The game just fails to launch, I get the Windows "fail" sound, and the message about crash dumps and uploading here.

Seems to be a missing file. Make sure the game is properly installed, try re-installing, or installing on steam or desura or neither
