-What happened
After creating my own outpost, I went back to one of the premade towns and there were no NPCs or Shop Counters in them. When I saved and loaded the came back, everything was back to normal. I also get a bug where there are no Shop Counters in the trade building, and when I ask what they have for sale no Inventory pops up.

If it's hard to describe, a screenshot can also help.

-Consistency
It usually happens when I make trips from my outpost to a npc town or I have another person in a shop while trying to go to another

-Kenshi version number
0.40.5

Edit:Its good to know that others are having this bug too, I was worried it was only me.

Also, I want to add when this bug happens, I believe that bandits stop spawning or attacking, I have not been attacked for over 15 days now or have seen a bandit in over 15 days

I have had this same problem. I have had it cleared up by ensuring that all of my squadmates are out of all interiors and then trying to go back into a different store front. After that, I then go back outside and back to the original storefront and everything will be normal. This *sometimes* clears it up. I have not noticed an effect on spawning of bandits though.

While the bug is happening I have to restart my game fully so bandits can spawn again, but the bug happens again after 10+mins I don't know whats causing it. It usually happens when im making a trip from my base to an npc town.

Did this just start happening with 0.40.5? If so is your original game 0.40.4 or earlier? If that's the case I would recommend doing a New Game Import.

I tried starting a new game on 0.40.5 and it still happens. Also caravans just walk around my outpost and acts like bodyguards killing all the bandits when they do spawn. Is it because the can't access my store?

I have had the same issue with shop counters disappearing and also towns not fully spawning in. This is in .40.5.

I have also seen this happen. However I don't think the caravans are actually bodyguarding, I believe it is because of pathing that they pool around a built town. Because of this they usually outnumber most bandits and will probably go charging off to kill them and then come back to try and shop out your stores. However, they cannot because (I suspect) of pathing issues.

As to the disappearing/spawning issue, I would recommend starting a new game and backing up the old to see if it is a 40.4/40.5 compatibility issue. If not, then I would say there is a legitimate bug.
