Freeze/Crash to Desktop Ver 0.44.1

I've been playing the game for about a week, this is the first major crash I've had.

video card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570
1920x1080@32 bit
No Vsync, FSAA: 8 Full Screen

It's hard to pin down what all was going on at the moment, but I believe my last action was transferring bread from a stove to the baker, and then from the baker to a large sales counter. At the same time, there was a que for water at the wells outside by about 4 of my other characters. These are just the things that come right to mind.

I love this early-access game more than most of my AAA titles, so I want to see it improve and succeed. Maybe in some small way this will help. Thanks.

I should add that now when I log on, I am able to play for about 3 or 4 minutes, and then it crashes again, every time, no matter what I have my characters do.

Is there a way to fix this without sacrificing everything I've done so far?

I'll just add this last post to say that the game is now unplayable. I crash within moments of logging into the game, every time, so clearly I'm stuck in a fatal loop of some sort. I sure hope I can save the last 40 hours of building and developing. Thanks.

Hey there RedMint, first off, you're a tremendous help just by posting about issues like this.

Have you tried using the New Game Import Squad button at the main menu to Reset Squad Positions ONLY?

This does not tamper with your currently saved world at all, it just resets the position of your entire squad to an NPC town.

When you quickload, I can't press any buttons until it is done loading or I crash.

Another suggestion previously posted is to backup your saves, uninstall/reinstall Kenshi so that all of the older-version info is removed.

Hi guys, really appreciate the feedback. I did as you suggested (New game Import Squad / Reset Squad Positions ONLY) and it has worked so far with no crashes. I'm glad to know that option is there (I'd assumed the button was kind of a wipe - keep the characters, lose the world).
