game crashes after launcher

Every time I start up Kenshi I get the launcher and when I click ok it gives me a crash message, similar to http://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtop ... f=9&t=1350 I only get one launcher but same error

Game crashes after the launcher. I suspect restarting will fix it as I've played this version several times without this issue. I will confirm this in a moment...

Nope, looks like its permanently screwed. I'll re-install and see how that goes.

Ran out of time last night, but reinstalling did fix the problem. I'll try to remember how I close the application from now on so I can give some context if it happens again.
