One of my characters is tasked to work on this desk permanently. I clicked 7 standard medkit in the queue but the character goes idle after he finishes one.
See the attached screen shot to better understand the situation.

it's just a theory but i think it's cause you assigned more than one job and the medic bench is just number 2
so that he jumps back to task one (medic) and goes idle

If he has something you want, then take it.
If he has a weapon, fight him.
If he ruins your life, step forward and retake it.
If you have a heart, then let him live ....

empty the bench and make one medkit at a time and see what that does.
the issue has popped up before but with weapons benches and that usually fixed the problem.

Thanks for your opinions guys I'm now going to give them a try and see if one of them works.

Same issue here.
Tier 1 med bench: the guy won't pick up product from bench. He has one in inventory, he may pick it up if there is none in inventory, I don't recall.
Tier 2/3 med bench: the guy will pick one up but won't deliver to a med crate, nor build a second while the original aid item is in inventory.
Similar issues with the Weapon Bench, but sometimes will deliver. Has to do with whether item is picked up to backpack, weapon slot, or inventory.
Also see PnzrNorm's post here: http://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtop ... f=9&t=4713
He's attached a save where it's duplicatable on his stone processor. In his case the processor guy won't pick up the goods.

it seems that the med desk works just like the weapons bench
if you made a weapon, your worker does not bring it to a weapons stand
i think this will be an issue for a update.
cause, and this is just my opinion, i think it,s a little bug where the storage does not fully recognize the items, cause there are more possible things, that can be put into the storages (small med kits, normal bigger ones, or for weapons there are small katanas, huge heavy weapons and so on)

Hi there,
I´ve encountered this too.
As far as I could recreate this, it happens when there are items in the med crate stacked to 6. When I remove the 6th stacked item so that there are only 5 items stacked and one item alone, the production is resumed but will stop after creating one new item which will not get delivered to the med crate.
When I empty the med crate, the production and delivery will resume up to the point where again 6 items are stacked in the med crate.
*edit*
In addition, it makes no differences what items are stacked in the med crate. I have had 6 stacked Standard first aid kits while producing Basic first aid kits and the fresh produced kits where not delivered to the crate until I removed the stacked Standard kits.
Hope this helps

I couldn't make any medkits when i tried, even with just one in queue. Managed to make some after i placed my characters medpacks in to the backpack and then the backpack into my inventory. Though if i recall correctly the medkit disappeared upon finish, but you could try clearing your inventory of medpacks and see if it helps even a bit.
The difference being between the basic medbench and the standard medbench, at least in my tests.
Tested Evel's results (good catch btw), and they held true for the tier one bench. With multiple medcrates, as long as one had fewer than six objects.
On the tier two bench, the standard (and advanced) kit is in fact being created for me, it was even once tonight picked up (*baffled*), but even then would not deliver to empty crates, it did continue working on the next kit this time IIRC.
The tier two bench will now not gather product at all (with an empty inventory, pack and crates), clearly there's a variable that hasn't been noted yet as I have been able to get one picked up sporadically. One item queued or several, I haven't noted a difference.
I did do an import with buildings today (did not do for this update until now, forgot), right after this my tier two med bench and all smithing stations would not accept a worker at all. Worker would stand idle as though no command were given. After a save and full restart (the usual import fix for me along with a navmesh rebuild), worker would work standard med bench with above caveats. Smithing benches recovered to pre-import state. Without information on just how "buggy" this feature is I thought that might be pertinent.
Fortunately this handy multi-save function allows me to now test from a fresh game. I guess I'll be back next week with hopefully less dubious results.

Yup, same bug for me. Seems like it needs to be addressed in an update.
