While this is inn alpha and crashes aren't "odd" per say. I consider the super-crashes I get to be a bit odd considering each one has a different number attached to it and nothing I do in-game wise is any different.
Most of the time I've received 181 for most crashes.
Though more recently I've been getting 131 and 183.
(I have no idea if the numbers mean anything... but I thought I'd point them out)
I find it odd since most of my squad is doing what they always do... mining, building and making building materials. So I have no idea why the numbers are changing all of a sudden.
When I look at the 'error' log in the crashdump zip folder, it says:
Foliage crash: Closer detail levels must be added before farther ones
Granted I only got the game a few days ago and my 2 cents might mean squat... but maybe the super-crashes I've read up on have nothing to do with path-finding and the game's engine simply doesn't like making the foliage work correctly and... it crashes.
Though 'how' the "foliage crash" happens when I have it at 0 is a mystery to me.

Yeah I have the same problem. Well it was only every 2 hours or so and that really was not all that bad. But now it is ever 30 minutes. An with this game at times you need more then 30 minutes to do anything. What is worse is you have to keep saving or you will lose it all in a crash or you will lose it all if it saves and you get a warning save error. Then it is pointless to play any more with out relogging.

playing at 4x speed is known to cause the game to crash faster
but until the new Engine is added, there is no known fix for super crashes at this time.

I went through and read both here and steam about this and looked at every once suggestions on how to push past that 30 minute mark I have been hitting. Well really brough the graphics down and this time I watched my ram. Was really worried when just starting out I was at 1 gig and was climbing got up to 2.2 and it held firm. Then it went up to 2.40 and I knew it was going to just climb after that. Then it stoped and went down to 2.2 then got the same crash. So I guess that idea of watching the gigs does not help at all.

it helps
when you get to 3.4gb of ram usage thats when you should save and be prepared for a game super crash.
When i start/load my game the usage is about 1,6 to 1,8gb of ram usage and it slowly goes up over time due to the memory leak.
I play in windowed mode all the time so that i can watch my ram usage.

Yes at start it was about 1.8 gigs of ram. But like I said it soon went up to 2.2 then up to 2.4 and started to climb up higher. Then it stoped went back down to 2.2 and then got the super crash. So thought it was a one time thing so went back in. An 10 minutes in at 2.2 gigs got the super crash.
Sence I have been going in and deleting the crashdump files I have been able to push my 30 minute play time. To anything between 1 hour to 4 hours. But this time in the txt file under error instead of the usual message of follage I got the message Number of Threads: 2. An when I try to upload the crashdump file I get the uploaded file is empty.
If you're not using sli or what have you to use multiple GPUs, then try turning on the "Force Single-Threaded" checkbox in the options. It should prevent the game from trying to use multiple threads (the game isn't 64bit yet so it can't handle multithreading).
Yes got that already. Did not help still only got 30 minutes of play each time. Did not matter if I accepted that option or not. It only changed when I went into the files of the game and deleted all files under crashdump as well as the crashdump file.
I am no longer getting the error message for 183 or 131 just getting a message saying the game has crashed and a file has been created. So I fill like something has changed. Also yet again I tried to add the file but was told this time the extension dmp is not allowed.

Though it still happens. It seems to be less then it used to be. I think I am getting close to 2 to 3 hours of play time between crashes sence .64 came out. Though the gate issue does seem to be worse now.
I mean there is point A on one side of the base a point B and a point C. My training dumby is at point B. My guy is no more then a few feet from point B. I tell him to go there and he runs all the way over to point A to get to point B. An if I close the gate anytime before he gets back to point B. He stops turns around and comes right back to open it again.
Then another good one is he is standing inside of point A heading to point C on the other side of the base. He opens the gate at point A then heads to point C. He is standing out of point C I have not opened that gate yet. So I close point A then tell him to open point C or to go through after I open it. So he runs all the way back to point A to open it first.
I so want to beat him right about then or just turn the turret on him and shoot him until he passes out.
