Hi all,
Sorry if this thread already exists somewhere, I looked hard for an answer to no avail.
Every time I put someone in a cage, say for example my current prisoners, a dust bandit boss and a sand ninja jounin, after some time (sometimes a few minutes, sometimes much longer) they disappear, and can't be clicked on. I know they're still there, because occasionally I can see them again, but when I go to click on them they disappear again. I've tried dismantling the cages and unlocking them which does nothing. I've also noticed that I can't put new people in these cages, so the game is registering that the cages are still full. Would love some idea as to what to do.
Btw I'm new and this game is friggin amazing. <3

The prisoners cages have a few known issues at the moment, but I am uncertain when exactly we can expect them to be addressed. Right now I know that the next update is supposed to be out in the next week or so, but whether it will have any affect on this particular issue I can't say. The Harpoon Turrets that are being added may have taken up the majority of focus from this update, and at the moment I'd guess that the cages aren't a top priority.
Because of issues such as the one you describe, cages were disabled for awhile, coming back with the introduction of the Cannibals. In the coming weeks or months updates that allow for the AI to have more dynamic interactions with the cages (such as the AI lockpicking their way free, or sending rescue parties to liberate their captive allies) should mean that the current code for the cages will become the focus of an upcoming patch. That being said Chris is rarely forthcoming about things that are further out than a patch or two, so we'll just have to wait and see.
