kenshi map crash

Upon making a new game...kenshi crashed when I tried opening the world map. newest version just updated today

i just tested it as well
touched M and game paused, stopped responding then crashed after i hit the M key
edit
this also goes if you press the button for map in the GUI

Pretty much the same, imported a game, tried it three times. Once Importing research, once resetting squad positions (which seemed to not really bring the squad back to catan) and once both. Since I was wondering where the reset squad put me I hit m -> crash each time.

I had the same problem, game crashed when I opened the map. But it stopped happening after i re-validated my files on steam.
