Building Mounted Crossbow Bug

Party Character(s) Spams left and right trying to build a Mounted Crossbow.

Move the character away from the crossbow for a moment.
I think I've seen this before when the character was next to the turret, not operating it, and began to spam movement when I told them to man the turret.

Would you kindly zip your save game folder and post it here for us to examine?
You can use an FTP like Dropbox or Google Drive until the board attachment system works again.
