Hello there, I've been experiencing crashes the last few hours now.

At first i could build any building and produce anything i wanted. (Also used trainers when i got bored of waiting). It was all fine until i built steel refinery. I tried different things (like not using a trainer, building the refinery elsewhere etc..) but it was all for naught.

I imported my characters to a new game (i didn't want to lose my research) but i encountered the same problem again. Stone processor started to make the game crash when i produced something in it.

Started a whole new game, but the problem persisted.
I'm going to reinstall the game now and see if it solves the problem.

Game version: 0.67.2

(I'm sorry if this report already exists, i couldn't find it in the forum.)

If the re-install doesn't fix your issue, I wouldn't know what to tell you.
You've hit all the checkpoints I would suggest.
Hope the re-install fixes it for you.

I have re-installed it, but it didn't really fix the problem much.
After trying for hours i have come to the realization that the trainer corrupts something in the game, somehow.

So if i activate the trainer, i can play without a problem until i produce something. (building materials or steel)

I used the trainer for research, then closed the trainer, tried to produce building materials, and it crashed again. So the only solution is to not use the trainer at all, or use it for other things, exit the game and reload the save. :I

What bothers me is that i didn't have this problem AT ALL yesterday morning. I used the trainer to build materials instantly and indefinitely.

What is this "trainer" you're speaking of?

Are you talking about the in-game editor?

No it's the +30 trainer from MrAntiFun.net

It's actually made for a lower version of Kenshi, but it worked flawlessly on the current version for a long while before it started crashing.

It has instant production, instant research and ways to tweak all stats independently.

Personally I say since you found out the problem is caused by using this trainer I say don't use it ever again.

If you want to do the things you say it can be done by the forgotten construction set.

If you want to use a trainers (external programs) use one for the CURRENT version or learn scripting (assembly) and cheatengine because even with AOBSCAN SCRIPTS it's still possible a update breaks a trainer/script which in return can break the game (by disabling/modifying functions that should not be modified).

Personally I think you should not even play this game with a trainer as it's not required to play this game.

That said I don't think this is a bug but a problem with the trainer (with the processor/refinery being over 100% or in the negatives -XX%) and you might be able to fix it by disasssembling the refineries or importing to a new game with only Research checked (if that does not fix it delete the local content in steam than in the game folder delete every folder with a exception of the save folder and install the game again).

I've already fixed the problem thanks.

If i want to tweak things i use the trainer, then save, exit the game, close the trainer and start the game again.

I do play the game normally without the trainer, i just wanted to build a base in some sort of a "creative mode" without having to spend hours to gather resources.

Thank you both... Although there is no in-game editor for stats, that's still very useful. (:
