Experimental- Failed to start

The game updated this morning from the previous Experimental version to the new one. When i try to launch it all i get is a black box saying: Steam Error Failed to start the game(unknown error)

Is the game not working for 32bit windows yet? Seems like that is the error i saw on another game a while back when something was not flagged on it to work with a 32 bit version.

From Chris:

"This first version is 64-bit only for now."

Still don't get how people even have 32 bit systems that can run kenshi. 32 bit hardware hasn;t been made for a long time, do you just have the wrong os or something?

Still using an old computer, though it was within specs at the time i bought the game 2 or 3 years ago. Hadn't known XP would be discontinued at that point, though even if i had it would still not have been within my budget to replace the old computer and OS. At least when it's brought up on the forums here its without the usual rude comments that tend to pop up when people mention others still using old computers to play games.

Can't say the game ran great, but for whatever reason the previous experimental version was rather stable on my old piece of junk computer.

what im saying isn't that the computer is old (my desktop is 5 years old, 64 bit was standard years earlier!) it's that maybe your using a 32 bit OS on 64 bit hardware. you might be able to install the 64 bit version of xp and recover your missing bits.

Seems like we are doing something wrong!

No seriously, not everyone can afford a computer that is up to date. The main thing is that you have fun while playing the game. Or we could just ban you..

Any news on when the 32 bit will get a working up to date version? I've been in and out of the hospital with my grandmother and don't have time to dig through every post here while home to unwind. Before someone chimes in to use search.. here are the results of using the forums search thing for "32 bit version": The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: version bit 32. You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.

Not much useful info there. Suppose even a link to wherever they actually post about such things would be good, i never could find the one Butta quoted Chris from on the 9th.
